The Elder Scrolls Online team is going to start closed BETA in the end of March. First invites will be sent and the greatest event in the history of Elder Scrolls Online will begin.
So It Begins
To be honest, the BETA was started several weeks ago but it was super closed. All developers were involved into this testing. They did not invite other people because they tested basic mechanisms of the game: login, character creation and so on. These essential mechanisms must work well before public start.
(Don’t worry – they won’t be able to find all bugs – you will have a chance to show your skills.)
ESO team received thousands of sign-ups but first events will not be massive. Only few testers will be involved during the first events. And it is easy to predict that support @ Elder Scrolls Online will receive a lot of e-mails asking for invite.
I recommend not bothering support. Be patient and wait for your personal invite. If you are not invited to the first event you will probably be invited to a later one.
How do they select testers?
This question was answered many times but a lot of people still do not know the answer. There will be many different events with different tasks and goals. That means each Beta event requires different players with different skills.
Do you remember the sign-up form? There were a lot of different questions and your answers influence your future invitation. It is obvious that if there is PvP event only PvP lovers will be invited. If you did not mention that you like PvP your chances to be invited to PvP event are low.
Multiple Events
The other question is about multiple invites. Yes, it is possible to be invited to several events. But on my opinion everything depends on your impact. Why should they invite you to the next event if you did not write bug reports and did not follow required steps? I think everything depends on you. If you are a good tester who tries to make the game better your chances to take part in several events are high. Don’t forget that one invite does not guarantee that you will be invited to other events.
Be Patient
Wait for your invite and do not forget that the general goal of the Beta is to make Elder Scrolls Online better! While you’re waiting, follow Beta news at ElderScrollsOnline.info for all the latest info.
