The Front: How to Make Polymer

The Front is full of advanced ingredients to use for your crafting, like Polymer. However, you’ll probably receive a recipe that requires Polymer without being told how to make it. Here you’ll find our complete guide on how to make Polymer in The Front.

How to Make Polymer in The Front

Polymer is an essential material for high-tech technologies and weapons in The Front. However, you might notice that obtaining the material is a bit unclear. To start, you’ll want to make sure you head to your Tech tree and unlock the Pyrolyzer. You’ll need four Ether Shards to unlock the recipe, so make sure you have some in your inventory. Here’s how to make Polymer:

• Craft a Pyrolyzer
  • Basic Tech Tree > Rope > Crafting Table > Pyrolyzer
• Place the Pyrolyzer.
• Interact with the Pyrolyzer using F.
• Select the Polymer recipe from the left menu.
  • x2 Crude Oil, x2 Resin.
• Add the Crude Oil and Resin to the Inventory Bar on the right.
• Select Craft.

You’ll need to collect the Crude Oil from a Manual Miner for your Polymer. Resin can be collected from trees, or crafted at the Grinding Table. However, if you don’t have the Grinding Table or Resin recipe unlocked in your Tech tree, you’ll need to rely on harvesting it from trees — which could take a while. So, if you have to craft a sizable amount of Polymer, I recommend you unlock the Resin recipe for efficiency. You’ll find the recipe for it in:

• Basic Tech tree  > Rope > Crafting Table > Pyrolyzer > Resin
