Imagine being able to buy dozens of items without losing anything. That’s certainly possible in Owlcat’s CRPG if you play your cards right. Here’s our guide on how to increase Profit Factor in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.
What is Profit Factor in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader? Explained
Profit Factor is akin to a currency “tier” or “threshold.” Instead of a fluctuating leger like gold or money usually seen in other games, you don’t actually use your Profit Factor to buy and sell items. Instead, you leverage it to acquire items within your current Profit Factor amount. Weird? A little! Here’s an example of how it works from my time dozens of hours with Rogue Trader:
- You have 30 Profit Factor and a vendor has three items. These items show 10, 15, and 20 Profit Factor respectively.
- You don’t purchase items individually and lose Profit Factor. For example, getting the first and second items would make you lose 25 Profit Factor. That’s not the case at all.
- Instead, since all items are well within your Profit Factor threshold of 30, you can obtain all of them instantly. This is why you should always aim to increase Profit Factor in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.
How to Increase Profit Factor in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader
You can earn increase Profit Factor (PF) in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader by completing colony projects and through certain events or decisions. Once you gain control of a colony in Act 2, you’ll see a list of projects that can be undertaken. These tend to have requirements, but they also yield rewards.
