You can come across Fabled items when looting corpses or finding items in the wild. Stored in separate stacks in your inventory, they may seem to be the same as other items. This is what Fabled items are in Nightingale.
Nightingale Fabled Items Explained
Fabled items can be dropped after killing creatures. They’re often discernable by their larger size when on the ground. In your backpack, they’re set aside and have sparkles or a crown on the item to signify they’re Fabled.
When looking at the items, they typically have higher stats or offer different bonuses than their general group when being refined. This snowballs into the clothes the material turns into or the weapons it becomes.
For example, a Tier 1 Fabled Feorrswine Hide gives 5% Durability, 15% Max Health, and 10% Hunger Mitigation when turned to Leather. On the other hand, a Tier 1 Prey Pelt, what the swine normally drops, gives 10% Max Stamina, 5% Stamina Regen per second, and %5 Cold Resist.
How Fabled Items Affect Crafting and Structures
Using better items in Nightingale can also impact the crafting station or structure built. Any recipe that lists Fibre can use Animal Fibre, Plant Fibre, or Plant Fibre from Bound. Higher level and Fabled items provide more Augments you can add to that structure.
Along with the various crafting uses, Fabled items often have their descriptions include that the NTTC will pay a premium for them. I haven’t found an NTTC building or member to confirm that you can sell these items to them but it could be a reason to save a few specimens.
That’s what Fabled items are in Nightingale. Better quality items sought by the NTTC can change how your crafted items affect you. If you’re wondering how to get resources, the Antiquarian, or how to join up with friends, portal over to our guides vault for help.
