When Does Stardew Valley 1.6 Come Out? Answered

Stardew Valley‘s 1.5 update came out in 2020, which totally reinvigorated the game at the time. This included new locations, such as the famous Ginger Island and farm layouts. It was a massive update for players, and it seems as though the 1.6 update will be even bigger.

ConcernedApe stated that he’d be putting the Haunted Chocolatier game on hold in order to focus on Stardew Valley content. To reiterate, the 1.6 update will be released before ConcernedApe’s new game.

Every major update so far has had one to two years in between. 1.4 released in 2019 and 1.5 came out in 2020. Despite ConcernedApe not confirming a release date, it seems likely to come out either the end of 2023 or early 2024 based on the inclusion of winter outfits for the villagers.

What’s Coming in Stardew Valley 1.6?

He may have initially said said that the 1.6 patch would primarily benefit modders, but the list of revealed features is so considerable that it may have been a bit of an understatement.

The list of new inclusions revealed to come with Stardew Valley 1.6 are as follows:

  • A new major festival.
  • Two new mini festivals.
  • New late-game content, which expands on each of the skill areas.
  • New items and crafting recipes.
  • Joja alternatives to some of the end-game quests.

  • Winter outfits for the villagers.
  • New type of reward for completing billboard requests.

  • New farm type.
  • New secrets and more.

That’s all we know about when Stardew Valley 1.6 comes out. Potentially waiting until 2024 for this 1.6 update might seem long, but given the amount of content we’ll receive, it seems worth it!
