Where to Eliminate Wasteland Guards in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3

Don't want to bother with the bosses? Take out their minions instead!

Now that the missing week three quests finally made it into Fortnite, we can work on completing them. One of these quests requires you to eliminate Wasteland Guards or bosses. We’ve encountered the bosses before, but if you’re searching for those guards, here are the best spots to look.

Where to Find Wasteland Guards in Fortnite

This quest requests that you eliminate some Wasteland Guards or bosses. I’m sure we all know where to find the bosses at this point, and what a death trap that can be. If you want to quickly dust up this challenge, I suggest going for the guards instead.

You find Wasteland Guards at a few different spots around the map, both Named Locations and some lesser locations as well. If you want to avoid big places, the best place to look for them is at Service Stations, where you’ll find one or two patrolling. If you don’t mind heading into some more dangerous areas, you’ll find them in even more abundance at these few spots:

  • Nitrodrome – around the outer walls of the arena
  • Brutal Beachhead – within the bottom area of the shark base
  • Redline Rig – on the ground floor below the base

You’ll see guards patrolling around these areas a lot. You should be able to eliminate four to five of them at each location. However, you’ll also want to look out for bosses at these spots since that’s usually where they spawn.

How to Eliminate Wasteland Guards

Like most enemy NPCs, the Wasteland Guards will detect you when you get close to them: a question mark popping up to indicate they are beginning to detect you and an exclamation mark popping up when they are beginning to attack.

These guards are much easier to defeat than the bosses and usually go down in one to two hits. However, they do come in multiple different kinds, some being Heavy Brutes, carrying shotguns, and some being speedier patrols with faster weapons. Be wary of the different weapons they can have on them because they can still be deadly to you if they land a good shot.

You’ll need to eliminate a total of 15 of these guards to complete your quest. If you get lucky, you could even throw in a few bosses to add to your total as well. If you can’t find any more guards at your location, drive off to one of these other Named Locations to try and get a few more. It may take a few matches.
