Where to Find All Cactuars in Cactuar Caper in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth)

Finding the cacutars in the Cactuar Capers minigame can be a fun side adventure during the main story of FInal Fantasy VII: Rebirth.

There are actually quite a few hunt-for-thing minigames in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. When you reach the third region, you’ll come across another one: needing to know where to find the Cactuars during the Cactuar Capers. There are only four, and they aren’t super hard to find, but we’ll cover all their locations here.

What Are Cactuars?

The first place you’ll go when you reach the third region in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Corel, is the resort town of Costa Del Sol. Early in the main story, Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa need to get some beachwear to hit the beach in style, and they all need Companion Cards to buy them. Cloud gets his on his own, but Aerith and Tifa team up to take on some additional minigames, including Cactuar Capers. Their goal? Find four Cactuar spray paintings scattered about Costa Del Sol.

You’ll know the ones you’re looking for: they’re hot pink and decorative, and none are particularly well-hidden, but their hiding spots are just clever enough to cause a bit of consternation. Once you find each Cactuar painting, you need to take a picture at a particular zoom value, which the game will tell you if you don’t hit. Depending on the required zoom, you might need to get closer or farther away.

All Cactuar Locations in Cactuar Capers in FF7 Rebirth

I’ve listed the Cactuars in the order I found them, but Costa Del Sol isn’t the biggest town, and there are Wheelies everywhere you can use to get around if that’s your thing. Also, the Shinra Middle Manager who sets you on your quest for Cactuars will be chatting away at each photo location, and there will be a camera symbol at the top of the screen, so you’ll never be in the wrong place.

First Cactuar Location in Cactuar Capers: On a Rock near a Flower Shop

The first Cactuar painting I found was near a flower shop on the western market street of Costa Del Sol. It’s nearest the ramp leading up from the entrance to the resort. You’ll find the Cactuar on a rock to the south, overlooking the shop and street. You need to set your zoom value to 10% or so to take the picture, which you can do by standing outside the flower stand and aiming your lens just above the rock.

Second Cactuar Location in Cactuar Capers: On a Hydrant Near the Sea

The second Cactuar painting is on the waterside on the eastern side of the street near the entrance to the town. Specifically, you’re looking for a fire hydrant near some children and behind a vendor shack. Your required zoom value here is 30%, so get up real close to the hydrant and snap a pic of the Cactuar.

Third Cactuar Location in Cactuar Capers: On some Concrete Tetrapods

For your third Cactuar painting, head down to the docks, particularly the leftmost one. You’re looking for some concrete tetrapods at the end of the dock, with the one at the top having the Cactuar you seek. You need to be up close to this one to get the zoom value correct, as you can’t reach the 70% required without being up against the edge of the dock.

Fourth Cactuar Location in Cactuar Capers: On a Sign Above the Beach Entrance

The fourth and final Cactuar you need to find for Cactuar Capers is at the northern end of the waterfront, on the left side of the Surf & Suntan sign. You need to hit 40% zoom for this picture, which is easy if you stand about 15 feet in front of the entrance to the beach building.

With all four Cactuars photographed, you can return to the quest giver down the way for your Companion Card, some thanks from the Shinra middle manager, and the satisfaction of a job well done. You’ll need to do at least one more minigame to get enough cards to buy all of the beachwear for both Aerith and Tifa, and you’ll want to get the right ones if you want to progress your relationship with Tifa for a date later in the game. Your choice of date is ultimately up to you, though.
