Where to Find Frostallion in Palworld

Before I get into locations and coordinates, you should know Frostallion is a Level 50 Legendary Alpha Pal. It’s among the most difficult Pals to defeat or capture, but as we all know, even a slight chance is still a chance. I won’t pretend I haven’t gone up against a boss with a Mega Sphere and a dream.

That said, you’ll find Frostallion roaming the snowy biome at -356, 509, northwest of the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower Entrance. The nearest fast travel point is the Land of Absolute Zero located at -238, 492. From there, you’ll simply travel west until you reach an iced-over lake.

How to Catch Frostallion in Palworld: Weaknesses and Which Sphere to Use

For this fight, you’ll need to use the hard hitters of your Technology tree. Your best bet is the Rocket Launcher and Rocket Ammo, both of which you can unlock at Level 49. To craft them, you’ll need a Weapon Assembly Line II and the following materials for each:

  • Rocket Launcher: 75 Pal Metal Ingot, 30 Ploymer, 50 Carbon Fiber
  • Rocket Ammo: 1 Pal Metal Ingot, 5 Gunpowder

As for armor, the Level 50 Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor will give you the best defense and help you withstand the zone’s cold temps. To craft it, you’ll need a Production Assembly Line II and 30 Pal metal Ingots, 30 Leather, 6 High Quality Cloth, and 16 Ice Organs.

With Frostallion being an Ice-type Pal, you’ll definitely want to bring a Fire-type as a counter. But not just any Fire Pal. When you go up against an Alpha Pal, you might as well bring your own, too. For this fight, I recommend bringing bosses like Blazamut or even a Dragon-type like Jetragon for its Fire Ball ability. Both are found in the Volcanic biome on the west side of the map. Additionally, you’ll want to bring an Ultra Pal Sphere (Level 35) or Legendary Pal Sphere (Level 44) for the best chance at catching Frostallion.

Frostallion Drops, Partner Skill, and Work Suitability

While you’ll be tempted to use Frostallion as your primary mount, I’d recommend keeping it at your base. Its Cooling proficiency is great at preventing food from spoiling, keeping your Pals fed at all times while you’re away.

  • Type: Ice
  • Partner Skill: Ice Steed. Can be ridden as a flying mount. Changes the player’s attack type to Ice and enhances Ice attacks while mounted.
  • Work Suitability: Cooling Lv. 4
  • Drops: Ice Organ, Diamond, Legendary Pal Metal Helmet Schematic

That’s everything you need to know about where to find and how to catch Frostallion in Palworld. If you’re on the hunt for more Pals, we’ve collected the best locations to catch a Vixy, Woolipop, Lunaris, and more at our growing guides hub.
