There are some great Fuse materials to be had if you can find Farosh sometime during your adventure in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This is especially the case if you’re looking for items to Fuse and add Shock damage to the Master Sword or other weapons. You’ll have to jump onto its back to get a Shard of Farosh’s Spike and / or Farosh’s Scale. Here’s how.
Where to Find Farosh the Lightning Dragon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Farosh can be found in the eastern part of Gerudo Desert.
- Farosh can be mounted using the Skyview Tower.
Farosh the Lightning Dragon is circling the eastern part of Gerudo Desert and the western part of Faron Grasslands. Part of his path takes him in the Depths, and that portion is drawn in red on the map below. The portion in the bluish color is Farosh’s path while above ground. The icons are Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower on the left and Popla Foothills Skyview Tower on the right.
How to Ride Farosh
Since Farosh goes around Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower, I was able to get on his back easily using this Skyview Tower. I didn’t even need the upgraded Stamina Vessel for it, and instead only used Tulin’s Gust ability to line myself up with Farosh before diving.
You’ll want to remove your metal equipment before landing on Farosh or shortly after if you don’t want to be killed by a lightning strike.
You can gather Shards of Farosh’s Spike from his back, or you can smack him with a weapon to get a Farosh’s Scale. However, you can get the Scales without being on top of Farosh by hitting him with arrows. Both of these add Shock Damage to your weapons when you use them as Fuse Materials.
That’s all you need to know about Farosh in ToTK. you can use your newly Fused weapons to complete the 12 Best Side Quests or collect the Korok Seeds in Eldin Sky, both of which we have Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guides available to help.
