Where to Find the Sword of St. Trina in Elden Ring

The Sword of St. Trina is one of the best Straight Swords in Elden Ring. Here's where to find it.

Sleep is one of the most powerful status effects in Elden Ring. If you know where to find the Sword of St. Trina, you can apply it to almost any enemy in the game. That includes some bosses. Thankfully, it’s not too hard to get your hands on.

How to Get the Sword of St. Trina in Elden Ring

The Sword of St. Trina is probably one of the easiest weapons to get in Elden Ring for the power it provides. You’ll find it in the Forsaken Ruins at the western edge of Caelid, on the border between it and Limgrave. The closest Site of Grace is Rotview Balcony. The Ruins are just below and east of the site.

The Exact Location of the Sword of St. Trina

Once you make it to the Ruins, use a Stonesword Key at the imp statue there to unlock the fog gate blocking the way into the small cellar beyond.

Go down into the cave, open the door, and pick up the Sword of St. Trina. You simply travel to the border of Limgrave and Caelid, enter a small ruin, and nab the sword.

How to Use the Sword of St. Trina

Using the Sword of St. Trina is even easier than finding it. It comes with a base Sleep application of 66. But when you use its Ash of War, Mists of Slumber, create a large cloud of sleep-inducing mist in front of you and empower the blade with the same. When the sword glows bright purple, it deals136 Sleep buildup per attack that lasts 30 seconds.

How to Use Sleep in Elden Ring

In PvE, Sleep sometimes crosses the border into overpowered territory. Many rank-and-file enemies can fall victim to it, but it can even trivialize some of the game’s most frustrating bosses. The Godskin bosses are particularly vulnerable to Sleep. The Godskin Duo fight in Faram Azula can go from a gut-punching difficulty to an absolute joke.

Sword of St. Trina in PvP

If you go to New Game Plus, you can get two Swords of St. Trina, which are straight-up busted in PvP. A single Sword is annoying enough, but applying near-instant Sleep on an invader or on co-op enemies can be infuriating. Players are only momentarily stunned by Sleep, but the effect lasts long enough that you can easily get a charged heavy attack or some other move in.

I’ll grant that there are technically better, more efficient options to use in both PvE and PvP. That’s especially true if you want to delete your enemies from the universe. But the Sword of St. Trina is one of the safest and easiest ways to make Elden Ring an easier, more comfortable experience.
