The Monster Hunter franchise is well-known for its grindy nature — perhaps more so than any other gaming franchise. Monster Hunter: World is no different. Players are constantly hunting for materials to craft better gear to hunt stronger monsters, which drop even better material for even stronger armor, and so on (gotta love the grind!).

However, there are some materials in Monster Hunter: World that aren’t as much of a grind as other items. They may be hard to find, but farming them is easy. Warm pelts are some of those easy-to-grind-and-farm items. The Warm Pelt is needed to craft Kadachi Greaves, which help protect monster hunters from the thunder element.

Let’s take a look at where to find them.

Kelbi

Where to Find Warm Pelts in Monster Hunter: World

Warm pelts are an item drop that you can get from hunting kelbi (The picture above is a picture of Kelbi from Monster Hunter 4) . You can find kelbi in the Coral Highlands and Wildspire Waste.

Luckily, you don’t have to travel far from camp to find these peaceful blue animals roaming around in packs. In fact, Kelbi are some of the easiest animals to hunt in the game. Wait for them to stop jumping around and they should only take a few hits from your weapon to go down. Kelbi also have horns that are useful in crafting other items in MH: World, so be sure to target their heads if you want those too.

Also, be sure to look out for quests or investigations, such as Ballooning Problems and Embodiment of Elegance, that may require you to hunt Kelbi. Using a lucky voucher with these quests can further increase your odds of getting those warm pelts.
