Where to Talk to Different Characters in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3

Get by with a bit of help from these NPC friends!

We met two of the main NPC characters for the season in Fortnite‘s Welcome to the Wasteland quests, but there are plenty of other characters to visit around the map. In fact, one of your daily quests might even require you to track some down. Here’s where they all are and what they can provide for you!

All Character Locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3

Every season has NPCs spread around the map. Although there are some that act like bosses and enemies, others are characters that can provide a service for you. This means selling you an item, an effect, or sometimes even being hired as an ally. Speaking to the characters can also earn you a free gift item from them.

The amount of characters and their locations differ each season. For this season, there are 12 different characters around the map. Here’s a look at all their locations:

  • Centurion – Island north of Lavish Lair
  • Oscar – Classy Courts
  • Triage Trooper – Rescue Station northeast of Reckless Railways
  • Cerberus – Grim Gate
  • Peelosospher Bananocrates – Restored Reels
  • Artemis – Mount Olympus
  • Ruckus – Lil Dirty Dock southeast of Redline Rig
  • Brite Raider – Isle between Brutal Beachhead and Redline Rig
  • Peadbody – Peaboi HQ northwest of Redline Rig
  • Vengeance Jonesy – The Wreckmill southwest of Nitrodrome
  • Hope – East of Sandy Steppes
  • Rust – Sandy Strip west of Sandy Steppes

The only reason these characters wouldn’t be in these spots every match is if someone already hired them or if they were killed. Otherwise, they will always be in these exact spots. Now that you know where they are, you can visit them and check out what they can give you.

How to Talk to Characters in Fortnite

Talking to characters in Fortnite is super easy. All you need to do is approach them and press the interaction button (X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or E on PC).

When you speak to a character, they will automatically give you a free gift item. These items are usually healing or shield items, which will go into your inventory immediately. If your inventory is full, they will drop onto the floor in front of them.

A dialogue wheel will also appear at the bottom of the screen when talking to characters. These options will differ depending on the character’s role. Usually, there will be items up for sale or the option to challenge or hire them. All of them, minus the challenge, will cost you Gold Bars. Here’s a look at what each character can do for you based on their roles.
