All Characters in Wild Bastards

Here is a breakdown of all 13 Wild Bastard characters their abilities and weapons in order of how you unlock them in the main campaign.

Spider Rosa

Weapon: Dual Pistols that fire one at a time but can be reloaded simultaneously.

Ability: Spawn a clone that will make all enemies target it.

Spider Rosa is a DPS character that can spawn a clone for utility in fights where you want to pick off the enemies or flank them while they focus on your clone. Her pistols are good for medium to long range combat and have excellent damage.

Casino

Weapon: A two-shot shotgun with pellets providing random buffs to your spread, penetration, and ammo, depending on RNG.

Ability: Explode a random enemy on the map.

Doctor Casino is a smooth-talking gambler who plays like a close-range tank. He’s best paired with a DPS character, and you want to stack HP and armor on him. His ability is incredibly powerful, as it can one-shot even the toughest enemies and bosses if RNG favors you.

Smoky

Weapon: Fires a blob of flame that sticks to a surface, persists with an AoE, and lights enemies on fire.

Ability: Sets three enemies around the map on fire.

Smoky is the ship’s chef who will feud with everyone about his Beans. Smoky’s fire blobs are hard to land, but they’re incredibly powerful because once an enemy is lit on fire, they will keep burning till they die. His ability is also equally powerful because it almost guarantees that three enemies on the map will slowly burn and die.

Judge

Weapon: One-shot sniper with a guaranteed Killshot mechanic.

Ability: The Judge can slow down time for all enemies for 10 seconds.

The Judge is a powerful long-range DPS threat with the highest precision and range in the game. His crits are devastating, and his only weakness is the single-shot magazine capacity and slow reload speed. Once you activate his Stunt while being aware of enemy positions, you can take down everyone in one go, including fearsome Ironclads and Grizzlies.

Hopalong

Weapon: Lasso that immobilizes and strangles enemies.

Ability: Stun all Enemies for 10 seconds.

Hopalong can stun a single target permanently and squeeze them to death with his lasso, but this isn’t usually practical when facing several foes. His stun ability can come in handy when you’re trying to escape, reposition, or set up your DPS to kill all enemies.

Preach

Weapon: A Gattling gun that takes a little bit to spin up.

Ability: Each bullet that damages enemies will heal Preach for the 13-second duration of the ability.

Preach is a unique character because she’s a bruiser. Her mods and abilities make her suitable for a frontline playstyle where she’s damaging enemies and generating healing packs for herself and her teammates. You can build her as a tank that drops a ton of healing items for your team or a DPS that shreds enemies.

Roswell

Weapon: An energy blaster that doesn’t need to reload but heats up.

Ability: Launch into the air and slam down multiple times to damage and stun nearby enemies.

The intelligent and incredibly snarky Roswell, who talks down to everyone in the crew, is a good close-to-midrange choice. His blaster has a high rate of fire and decent DPS, which is good for handling a large number of critters. His Stunt is also useful in fights where you want to deal damage while staying far away from enemies.

Kaboom

Weapon: Throws a bouncing explosive stick of dynamite.

Ability: Turns invisible for 10 seconds.

Mr Explosions. Spamming explosions all across the map is great for getting random and unintentional kills and also essential for dealing with the extremely annoying Yellowbelly enemies. The dynamite sticks are hard to use but very rewarding if you know your angles.

Billy

Weapon: High DPS Dual Pistols.

Ability: Unleash a storm of bullets with each shot and get a quick reload for 10 seconds.

The best DPS character in the game and the easiest way to deal with Assassins. Billy the squid also has some unique mods that let him gain invulnerability. His dual pistols are perfect for close to long-range combat, and his only real weakness is the low HP and armor. He’s the perfect glass cannon to pair with a tank.

Spike

Weapon: Throws a single Shiv that always crits.

Ability: Hacks nearby sentries or spawns a sentry turret barrel if there are none.

Spike is a hard to use character due to his throwing knives being projectiles that follow a curved trajectory. His firing rate is slow like The Judge, but the Shivs do a lot of damage as they always crit. If you can get the projectile tracking mod, he becomes incredibly overpowered. His ability to hack turrets can win you entire encounters depending on the number of sentries nearby.

Sarge

Weapon: A well-balanced rifle with medium range, damage, capacity, and rate of fire.

Ability: Raise a forward facing shield that deflects projectiles for 10 seconds.

Sarge is a modified super soldier who can run faster than all other characters in the game. His entire kit is incredibly balanced, so the mods and equipment you place on him determine the playstyle he can use. His Stunt is useful for just walking up to tough enemies and killing them as long as you can confidently land crit shots. Accuracy and movement are key.

Rawhide

Weapon: Fires a three-shot burst of sonic projectiles that penetrates armor and forcefields.

Ability: Convert a nearby Critter or summon three Kyote allies.

Rawhide is one of the best utility characters, as you can convert tough Critters like Grizzlies and Porcupines to your side. Getting a lot of juice means you can summon several waves of Kyotes, and the primary fire has a very good range. Yellowbellies are incredibly tough to deal with, making Rawhide an invaluable character to have when dealing with them.

Fletch

Weapon: A bow that fires homing arrows at enemies in the line of sight after charging.

Ability: Launch a fatal homing arrow at every enemy.

Fletch has unique mods that give her revives and the ability to subvert any enemy. Her homing arrows are one-shot kills on enemy gunslingers and gunhands, and their homing nature makes them incredibly satisfying to use. Her Stunt is hard to use but can come in clutch when there are a ton of enemies around you.
