If you’re like me, you’re wondering how to complete The Land Beneath quest in World of Warcraft Dragonflight. Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, added a ton of new content to WoW Dragonflight, including new items, new questlines, and a new raid tier. By far the biggest addition, though, is Zaralek Cavern, which is found beneath the Dragon Isles.

Zaraleck Cavern is home to the Loamm Niffen, a race of adorable mole people, and Dragonflight’s newest faction. Earning Renown with the Niffen opens up a number of rewards, including exclusive perks in Zaraleck Cavern, cosmetics, and other goodies. You’ll want to gain rep with these guys.

To access the Niffen faction, you’ll need to complete Ember’s of Neltharion’s new quest series, Breaking Ground. The first quest in the chain is “The Land Beneath.” Here’s how to find it, finish it, and start your journey to Zaraleck Cavern.

How to Start The Land Beneath Quest in World of WarCraft: Dragonflight

To pick up The Land Beneath quest, you need to have finished the A Creche Divided storyline. A Creche Divided starts with “Hidden Legacies,” which you can grab from Kurazidalia at the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken.

A Creche Divided ends with the “Return to Viridia” quest. Once you finish that series, you’ll be able to pick up “The Land Beneath.”

There are two ways to pick up The Land Beneath. You can get it from:

• The What’s New pop-up in-game.
• Hadexian, Obsidian Envoy, at the Seat of the Aspects, located on one of the platform edges at coordinates (51.2, 35.1).

How to Finish The Land Beneath Quest

To complete The Land Beneath, head over to Ebyssian, whose also at the Seat of Valdrakken at coordinates (61.4, 42.2), in Highmountain Tauren form. He’s standing to the right of Nozdormu, between Sabellian and Wrathion.

Turn in The Land Beneath, and Ebyssian will inform you that Alexstrasza the Life-Binder wants to speak to you. Accept the second quest in the chain, titled “A Crack in the World,” then turn around and speak to Alexstrasza. You’ll help Alexstrasza and co. through 11 more quests and eventually, open up Zaraleck Cavern and the Loamm Niffen faction.
