Patch 10.1 introduces another currency, so here we’ll go through how to get Flightstones in WoW: Dragonflight, which you’ll be able to use to upgrade your gear. Luckily, there are several ways to acquire them, and I already had 115 Flightstones before I arrived in Loamm, the town where you learn how to find and use them.
How to Get Flightstones in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight
Flightstones are an easy currency to get as you can earn them from any PvE content. This includes dungeons, raids, treasures, quests, and world quests, so you shouldn’t run into issues in gathering enough Flightstones for what you need. However, you may want to hold onto them if you’re planning to take part in the next PvP season because they’re replacing Valor as the currency used to upgrade PvP gear.
To upgrade the gear you get in Zaralek Cavern (not PvP gear) with Flightstones, speak with Cuzolth in Loamm. He’s also the NPC who will give you the main quest explaining what Flightstones are and how to get them, rewarding you with 100 for completing his quest.
When the next PvP season starts on May 9, you’ll be able to upgrade PvP gear with your Flightstones, which could give you a bit of a gear boost at the beginning of the season.
Patch 10.1 introduces a lot of new content, and that includes multiple new currencies aside from Flightstones. While the game tries to put in quests to help teach us about each currency and how to use it, it’s still difficult to keep track of so many.
