You’ll probably want the materials you can get from Dinraal in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Dinraal’s Claw, Dinraal’s Scale, and other Fuse materials can be gotten from TotK‘s elusive Fire Dragon. The Dinraal path of travel is mostly static, but there are two to be aware of if you want to get the materials that come exclusively from it.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — How to Find Dinrall in TotK
To find Dinrall in TotK, you’ll first need to find either of the dragon’s two paths. One is in the Depths, and one is over northern Hyrule. There are two entrances and exits, marked on the map below.
Dinraal’s Flight Path Detailed
Dinraal follows a continuous flight path, entering and exiting specific chasms. I have found that the easiest way to catch the dragon is by intercepting its flight path at a chasm. Here’s where to intercept him:
- Dinraal exits the East Akkala Plains Chasm.
- Dinraal enters the Drenan Highlands Chasm.
To reach Dinraal at the East Akkala Plains Chasm, I head to the Sinatanika Shrine. The Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower is a great option, too.
To catch Dinraal at the Drenan Highlands Chasm, I launch and glide from the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.

Once you manage to catch a ride from the Fire Dragon, you can easily farm Spikes along its back. The Spikes will imbue your weapon with 16 attack power when fused, and grant an additional attack of fire. I like to use them in the Magic Rods or Staffs, but they’re useful for any weapon.
There are a few other materials you can get, these being in total:
- Dinraal’s Claw
- Dinraal’s Scale
- Shard of Dinraal’s Horn
- Shard of Dinraal’s Fang
- Shard of Dinraal’s Spike
Well, that’s it for Dinraal’s path in TotK. Check out Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guides hub for more, like our Naydra Path Guide.
