Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — How to Get Biggoron’s Sword in TotK

Add Biggoron's Sword to your collection in Tears of the Kingdom with this guide on how to get it.

The TotK Biggoron’s Sword returns from Ocarina of Time. It’s one of the best two-handed weapons in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, even without using Fuse to increase its power. Getting Biggoron’s Sword is no easy task: it’s well hidden and well guarded. Here’s our complete guide telling you how to get Biggoron’s Sword in Tears of the Kingdom. It won’t be easy.

How to Reach Akkala House of Bones for TotK’s Biggoron’s Sword

You’ll find the Tears of the Kingdom Biggoron’s Sword location in the Akkala House of Bones. It’s a hidden arena in the northern part of the Eldin region of the Depths, deep below the home of Death Mountain and the Gorons.

The easiest way to reach Akkala House of Bones is to dive through the Skull Lake Chasm. Jump through the left eye of the skull island in Skull Lake. You can also reach Akkala from within the Depths itself.

However, the entrance is nestled inside one of the walls and protected by four thick walls of breakable stone. Considering that, I’d recommend coming down from the top.

The closest Skyview Tower to Skull Lake is the Urli Mountain Skyview Tower. If you don’t have access to that tower or would rather make your way on foot, I recommend approaching from the west. There are relatively fewer hazards, either weather or enemy-related.

TotK Biggoron’s Sword: How to Defeat All Enemies in Akkala House of Bones

At the bottom of the Skull Lake Chasm in the Akkala House of Bones, take out a series of progressively harder, gloom-afflicted skeleton enemies. But it’s well worth it for the TotK Biggoron’s Sword.

  • The first wave consists of a few Bokoblin skeletons.
  • Then there are a few Mobiln skeletons.
  • Then there’s finally a Stalnox.
Avoiding the Gloom in Skull Lake Chasm

Remember that taking even a single hit from these enemies inflicts Gloom, robbing you of at least one heart. It could be many more if the attack is strong enough. I had a few Sunny meals (which you make with Sundelions) that immediately healed the Gloom damage I took. I recommend you do the same.

How to Defeat Bokoblins and Mobilns

To defeat the smaller enemies in the House of Bones, attack them until their head comes off. When that happens, hit the head once to destroy it. Kite the larger Moblin skeletons, so you’re only fighting one of them at a time. Now only one thing stands in the way of the Totk Biggoron’s Sword location.

How to Beat the Stalnox for Biggoron’s Sword in Tears of the Kingdom

When all the other enemies are dead (again), the Stalnox will rise. Like standard Hinox bosses, your best strategy is to hit it in the eye with an arrow to stun it. It will sit down for a few moments, and you can wail away on its feet and legs.

At about 5% health, its eye will pop out. You’ll need to do the final few ticks of damage directly to it. The Stalnox will try to pick its eye back up, but you can knock it away. If the Satlnox boss gets its eye back, it will pop it back in to regain a little health.

The Stalnox’s eye has more HP than you might expect, so use your best weapon to burn it down quickly. I was surprised by just how much damage the eye could take. I had to knock it out of the boss a few times before I could do enough damage to destroy it, so put your best Fused weapon to work.

When the Stalnox is finally defeated, the chest in the House of Bones will open. Head over to collect TotK‘s Biggoron’s Sword. It comes with a base attack power of 36, and you can Fuse it to increase that value.

If you want the Tears of the Kingdom Biggoron’s Sword for your collection, however, I recommend you keep it tucked away. It’s not free from the game’s weapon damage and durability system. It will eventually break if overused.

With that, you know how to get Biggoron’s Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A legendary blade guarded by the dead, it’s one you’ll want to add to your collection.
