The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Naydra materials come from a specific dragon flying above the southeastern regions of the map. However, getting them won’t be easy. There are plenty of hazards to dodge, many including the dragon’s freezing aura. Our guide tells you how to get the Naydra Claw, Scale, Spike, and Fang in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — and survive to tell the tale.
Where to Find the Naydra Claw, Scale, Spike, and Fang in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
TotK Naydra Location and Flight Path
Before we go over where to find the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Naydra Claw, Scale, Spike, and Fang items, we need to find the dragon in the first place. Naydra flies over the regions of Lanayru and Necluda in the southeastern portion of the map.
It follows a loop from the chasm west of the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower, going south to Hateno Village before heading north to Kakariko Village. It will then dive down to the Depths in that area before reemerging from the Mount Lanayru Chasm.
Naydra is a Frost Dragon, which means a freezing aura surrounds it. Link’s health will slowly deplete unless you have cold resistance gear or meals. In my case, I simply ate a few Spicy Pepper meals. Likewise, light blue wisps emanate from its body. If you’re unlucky, you could end up hitting one, causing you to get frozen.
How to Get Naydra Scale and Spike
The TotK Naydra Scales and Spikes are found on the back of the creature. Scales are fairly rare, though you can strike a protrusion at its back and grab it quickly. As for Spike items, these are small crystalline growths that you can pick up on the dragon.
How to Get Naydra Claw and Fang
The Naydra Claw can be obtained from the dragon’s nails. That means you’ll have to drop down, glide via updrafts, and snipe its claws with your bow. However, it might not work all the time, so just keep trying until you get a lucky shot. The item is also used for the Goddess of Wisdom side quest.
As for the Naydra Fang, you’ll have to go in front of the dragon, glide, and shoot its mouth when it opens. Both the claw and fang items will likely drop down to the ground, so you’ll have to skydive to reach them.
Now you know how to get the Totk Naydra Claw, Scale, Spike, and Fang. Besides Naydra, keep an out for other dragons with useful materials, such as Farosh and Dinraal. Likewise, there’s the Light Dragon, with its own unique reward. For other tips, strategies, and walkthroughs, visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
