The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Courage to Pluck Jochi-iu Shrine will have you playing makeshift Jenga. For those unfamiliar with Jenga, you’ll basically need to carefully remove pieces from a structure to ensure the whole thing doesn’t collapse. Here’s our complete guide for the TotK Courage to Pluck Jochi-iu Shrine.
Jochi-iu Shrine Courage to Pluck Puzzle Solution in TotK
TotK Jochi-iu Shrine Location
The Jochi-iu Shrine is located in Akkala, between Deep Akkala and the Akkala Highlands. You’ll find its location on the map above, and the exact coordinates are 4346, 2875, 0165.
TotK Courage to Pluck Walkthrough
Get ready to play Jenga like never before with the use of your Ultrahand ability. The minigame looks intimidating, but after some trial and error (and quite a few do-overs), I figured out exactly how to remove the pieces and make it to that precious Light of Blessing. Here’s what you need to do:
- When you enter the Shrine, you’ll find the Jenga puzzle directly in front of you down a small ramp.
- The first block you need to remove is the outer piece on the bottom row, ensuring that the middle piece remains as support, as shown above.
- Equip your Ultrahand and remove it being careful not to attach it to another piece or bump into the structure. Set it behind you on the upper flat platform for now.
- Equip your Ultrahand again and grab the outer left piece from the third row up, as shown above. Attach it to the other piece you pulled so that it forms an L.
- On the right of the ramp, you’ll see a platform with an electrical current that you need to connect. Take your L-shaped pieces and set them down so that they connect the two ends, as shown above.
- A moving platform will start to operate traveling past the Jenga structure. Jump on it.
- While on the platform, equip your Ultrahand and grab the ball on top of the structure.
- Carry the ball all of the way back to the target that is in the center of the room, as shown above.
- The exit will now open, but don’t leave just yet.
How to Get the Jochi-iu Courage to Pluck Treasure Chest
There’s two chests in the Courage to Pluck puzzle, we’ll start with the chest hiding within the Jenga structure first, you might’ve already spotted it.
- While on the moving platform, equip your Ultrahand.
- Grab the large upper piece with your Ultrahand, as shown above, and drop it into the abyss below you.
- Remain on the moving platform and equip your Ultrahand again.
- Grab the furthest piece on top, as shown above. It’s important to grab the one furthest because the entire structure’s balance will fail if you grab the closest one. I learned this the hard way.
- When you remove this piece, a few more will fall off of the top, and reveal the treasure chest below. Grab the chest with your Ultrahand and carry it back to the main area.
- The hidden chest contains Large Zonaite.
- The other chest is not as labor intensive. Grab your L-shaped pieces with Ultrahand and detach them.
- Carry and set one piece at the base of the platform across from the exit.
- Grab the remaining piece with Ultrahand, and set it on top of the other so it forms makeshift stairs, as shown above.
- Simply climb to the top and open the chest, you’ll receive a Zonaite Bow.
- Now that you’ve got all the goodies, you can exit the Shrine and receive your Light of Blessing — Phew!
