How to Complete the Pirate Manuscript Quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

TotK Riddle and Misko’s Treasure Location

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pirate Manuscript quest has this particular riddle:

A forgotten pirate cavern lurks at the foot of Cape Cales, overlooking the Necluda Sea. The short, shrill song of wind through lips will open the way to my treasure.

I had to squint my eyes trying to find the location itself, and I marked it on the map below. Basically, Cape Cales is in the southeastern portion of the map, fairly close to the peninsula jutting out of Lurelin Village. The cave that’s mentioned here is along its eastern edge, too. The coordinates are: 3627, -3213, 0000.

There are several ways to reach the cave. You can try the overland route, assuming you’ve already tagged a nearby Shrine. Alternatively, you may also build a makeshift boat and sail from the dagger-shaped peninsula off Lurelin Village.

TotK Pirate Manuscript Puzzle Solution

Now, as for the riddle itself, the “shrill song of wind” refers to a whistle. That means, once you’re in front of the stone doorway, you’ll need to press down on the D-pad so Link can whistle. Doing so will cause the door to move, revealing the secret chamber within.

The altar here is partially submerged, but the chest itself is on the pirate ship’s deck. Go aboard and take out the skeleton enemy mobs. Then, check behind the crates and boxes to spot the chest.

Inside, you’ll find the Tingle’s Tights. This completes the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pirate Manuscript quest. Don’t forget to do the other riddles and objectives for the Twins Manuscript and Heroines Manuscript.
