Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) — How to Get Sound of a Horn for Great Fairy Mija

Here's our guide to help you find the Sound of a Horn for Great Fairy Mija in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Great Fairy Mija will be able to boost your armors further. However, you do need to find a Hornist first. Yes, I was quite surprised when I saw this term, as I genuinely thought it meant something else. I digress. Here’s our guide to help you find the Sound of a Horn for Great Fairy Mija in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to Find Sound of a Horn for Great Fairy Mija in TotK

Before you could even get started with the objectives related to Great Fairy Mija, you’ll have to unlock Tera’s Fountain. Once her sister is available, that’s when you’ll have access to the remaining Great Fairy side quests.

Now, assuming you’re done with that, it’s time to find the Hornist or the Sound of a Horn for Great Fairy Mija in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To give you a general idea of where the whole journey will take you, I’ve included a map below:

Snowfield Stable

First, you’ll want to head to Snowfield Stable, which is next to Orochium Shrine. The coordinates are: -1634, 2576, 0233. Talk to Mastro, and he’ll tell you that Great Fairy Mija wants to hear the sound of a horn being played. Unfortunately, the band is missing the hornist, Eustus.

Eustus: The Hornist’s Dramatic Escape

I found Eustus in the southern portion of the Tabantha region. If you’ve already tagged or completed the Iun-Orok Shrine, then you can Ascend to exit the cavern, before following the path as it loops to the southwest. You’ll find Eustus trapped in a ditch. The coordinates are: -3657, 0791, 0127.

To solve Eustus’ predicament, take a look at your surroundings and you’ll notice a bunch of scattered objects. Here’s what you’ll want to do:

  • Attach the metal grills to the top of the wagon, which will form a roof.
  • Attach the two balloons on both sides of the grills.
  • Place Flame Emitters facing upright in each balloon.
  • Take the two Fans and attach at the back and pointing outward.

When you’re done, talk to Eustus and have him board the wagon. If you do it right, hitting the Fan will cause your makeshift vehicle to rise and move to the top ridge. If it hits a snag, you can always climb up on your own, then use Rewind and / or Ultrahand to bring it to the ridge. This completes the objective, which means you’ve got the Sound of a Horn for Great Fairy Mija in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Fixing Breezer and Meeting Great Fairy Mija in TotK

Return to Snowfield Stable and talk to Mastro once more. The group won’t be able to proceed further since their wagon, Breezer, needs a roof. To make one, check the nearby pile of wooden boards.

Pick the largest one, then attach it horizontally over the wagon. Then, bring your horse mount and attach the wagon to the Towing Harness. With these tasks done, go ahead and ride all the way to Great Fairy Mija.
