How to Complete Gasas Shrine Well-Timed Cuts Puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Gasas Shrine Location
The Gasas Shrine can be found in the Tabantha region. Specifically, this is the border between the snowy mountains of Hebra and the grassy fields of Hyrule. As such, it has a darker coloration on the map denoting the dusty plains and terrain. The Shrine itself is in the eastern edge of the region (and also the eastern portion of the map). The coordinates are: -4152, 0098, 0040.
TotK Gasas Shrine Well-Timed Cuts Puzzle Solution
The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gasas Shrine Well-Timed Cuts puzzle requires you to cut down several objects hanging from ropes. But, you need to make sure that you’re doing it correctly, or they’ll fall down to the empty darkness below.
For the first part, you’ll simply need to do the following:
- Shoot the rope to make the block fall. This lets you get across the gap.
- Move the second block upward and closer to the ledge. Then, place it below you. Once you’re on top of it, cast Recall so you can reach the ledge.
- You’ll then notice two stone boards. Attach them end-to-end to make a bridge.
This takes you to an area with two chests dangling from their respective ropes. You can use the makeshift bridge that you just created, placing it below each chest. This contraption will catch the chests as they’re falling down.
Alternatively, you can cast Ultrahand on each chest, then pull them toward you. As soon as you let go, pop Recall to stop time. Make sure that the chests are still above solid ground/toward you, then shoot them with your arrow. This was what I did, and it worked well enough. I just made sure that the momentum would move the chests toward me as opposed to dropping straight down into the pit.
The first chest contains a Large Zonai Charge, and the second has a Small Key. Use the latter to open the door to the final area. There, you’ll see a ball suspended in mid-air via a rope. As usual, use Ultrahand to pull it toward you/above solid ground. Then, let go and pop Recall so you’ve got time to aim and shoot it correctly.
The ball will roll to the target bullseye, which will unlock the altar. In my case, though, it stopped rolling, so I just carried it and placed it inside the receptacle.
Either method works since the doorway will open. This completes the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gasas Shrine Well-Timed Cuts puzzle. Likewise, since it’s also nearby, you might as well do the Turakawak Shrine puzzle. Lastly, for more tips and walkthroughs, visit our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
