If you thought that the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite earlier today was exciting, then you should be ecstatic to hear that its predecessor is making its way to current generation consoles today! That’s right, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has released on the PS4.
A fan favorite, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 originally released back in 2011 to critical acclaim with both fighting fans and critics alike. However, support for the title didn’t last forever — no matter how beloved the game was, support eventually stopped, and the game was removed from digital storefronts back in December of 2013.
But three years later, the beloved fighter is back — this time for the PlayStation 4. For now, it is only available on PlayStation Network as a digital download, but there are plans for the game to hit Xbox One and surprisingly PC, both of which are expected to be released in March of 2017.
While the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is reportedly making its debut without the series’ staple mutants, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 can definitely scratch you X-men itch on modern consoles — finally.
