Fashion is of the utmost importance in Final Fantasy XIV, and you’ve likely seen a few players sporting some new duds after the introduction of Patch 6.3 One of those sets is a black and white robe outfit called the Yakaku Dogi, which even gives your character a gorgeous flower tattoo on their bare shoulder. If you’re looking to get the clothing set for yourself, here’s exactly how to get the Yakaku Dogi.
How to Unlock the Yakaku Dogi Set in Final Fantasy XIV
You’ll be pleased to know that getting the Yakaku Dogi set is actually absurdly simple. All you need to do is complete an ongoing questline known as Tataru’s Grand Endeavor. There are currently three quests to the line, and they all start in Old Sharlayan. Of course, if you haven’t started these quests yet, you’ll need to at least complete the main scenario of Endwalker first.
The Yakaku Dogi set is a reward for completing the third quest in the chain, “An Auspicious Opportunity,” which is given by Mehdjina in Old Sharlayan (X: 11.8, Y: 9.8). The previous two Tataru’s Grand Endeavor quests are found at the exact same place.
There’s nothing too complex about the quest itself, either. All you’ll be doing is going to objectives and watching cutscenes, and at the end, you’ll get all five pieces of the gear set.
There’s one other thing that might stop you from taking on the third quest, however, and that’s if you didn’t complete the Four Lords questline from Stormblood. This was a raid series introduced with the expansion, and it’s a required questline for Tataru’s quests. If you never started it, simply head to The Ruby Sea and talked to Soroban (X:5.7, Y:15.7), to start the questline with “An Auspicious Encounter.”
That should be everything you need to know about getting the Yakaku Dogi set. If you need any more tips and help make sure to check out our FFXIV guides hub, which includes walkthroughs on how to get other equipment like Manderville Weapons.
