Every character in Crossy Road may move the same, but each of them has their own unique traits. Some make unique sounds when they walk, others have unique world effects — and they are all unique.
I’d be lying if I said that every character was equal. Some just do more cool stuff than others, and you will definitely end up picking some favorites.
Aside from the sounds each character makes being different, some also have unique obstacles in-game, unique death animations, and can change the way the world looks.
Characters that change what the world looks like (such as weather or color scheme) are:
- Frankenstein
- Wolf
- The Dark Lord
- Vampire
- Zombie
- Grave Digger
- Ghost
- Festive Chicken
- Penguin
- Doge (Not weather or color scheme, but words pop up on screen)
- Any of the UK characters (especially the Fancy Lady and Fancy Gent)
- Xi
- Cai Shen
- Fortune Chicken
- Emo Goose
- Disco Zoo
- Most of the Australian characters
