Monster Hunter Rise: How to Get Acute Fang

Here's how to get your hands on the Acute Fang High-Rank crafting material in Monster Hunter Rise.

Monster Hunter Rise Acute Fang is a High-Rank material that’s used for a number of equipment recipes. As with the rest of the series, MH Rise High-Rank means a whole new set of materials to hoard in order to make weapons and armor. There are more than we could possibly list here, but we can certainly point you in the direction of the Acute Fang material.

This Monster Hunter Rise guide will tell you everything there is to know about getting your hands on Acute Fang. Luckily, there isn’t all that much to it.

Monster Hunter Rise: Acute Fang Locations

Acute Fang is used in a number of lower-end High-Rank armors, such as the Jaggi S set and the Death Stench S set, but just two weapons: the Canine Katana I and the Bull Grunt I. That means you (hopefully) won’t need too many before you move on to farming for something else completely, such as High Quality Pelt.

As with other fang materials, pelts, sacs, and most of the other items you’re going to need to make your equipment as you push through the game, the Acute Fang only comes from carving certain monsters or as quest rewards.

The easiest source of getting an Acute Fang or two (or six) is slaying the smaller monsters in the Shrine Ruins. Particularly:

  • Jaggi
  • Wroggi
  • Bullfango

Bullfango and Wroggi tend to spawn in Region 9 of Shrine Ruins, while Jaggi tend to spawn around depending on which monsters are active. If there’s a Great Jagras or Great Wroggi, you’ll have better luck finding their lesser variants.

If you think you’re going to need the Acute Fang material and don’t want to actively hunt for it right now, look for the following monsters on your hunts to slay in hopes of getting an Acute Fang from your carves:

  • Bullfango
  • Baggi
  • Delex
  • Gajau
  • Jaggi
  • Wroggi
  • Zamite

As the Acute Fang is a High-Rank material and used to craft High-Rank equipment, weapons, and armor, you can only get it in High-Rank hunts.
