It’s been nearly a decade since Halo 3 released on the Xbox 360, but it seems Bungie’s final “core” entry in the franchise still has a few more surprises for us. YouTuber Gamecheat 13 has found (shown above) deleted scenes from the game’s campaign mode. Some bits got reworked, and others dropped entirely, but it is fascinating getting to see a glimpse of what the game evolved from.
On top of this, Gamecheat 13 has found other cut pieces of content, including the cut space combat Sabre Slayer mode from Halo: Reach, and additional cut dialogue from Halo 3.
Bungie had previously spoken of this mode, mentioning that they had tested it, but never actually included it in the game. Seeing it for the first time is quite interesting. That said it does look like, in its current state, it was a bit repetitive.
It’s been a great week for people finding cut content. First, more footage of Free Radical’s Star Wars: Battlefront 3 and now we get some from Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.
