Dota is a free-to-play MOBA which was developed by Valve and its mastermind IceFrog. This year, Valve hosted The sixth International held in KeyArena, Seattle with a prize pool of $20 million.

This year’s event, Valve organised another contest for the 2016 Dota 2 Short Film Contest. 

Filmmakers were invited to submit their short film creations to the Dota 2 Steam Workshop from 20th May until 26th July 2016. 

Valve has reviewed the entries and discussions and nominated ten last entries to be featured in The International 2016 Battle Pass for a final voting process by the Dota community to determine the winners. The winning film will be announced and showcased as part of the TI6 broadcast. Each nominee is guaranteed to win $500 while the top three will take home prizes of $25,000, $10,000, and $5,000.
