World of Warcraft is getting some serious love from Blizzard this year. Earlier, we told you about the Classic Servers announced during the BlizzCon Opening Ceremony, but that’s not all the Blizzard development team has in the works for players. After all, BlizzCon doesn’t quite live up to expectations if a WoW expansion hasn’t been announced. Let’s just say that BlizzCon has met expectations this year.
Following the Classic Server announcement, executive producer J. Allen Brack more or less handed the reigns over to everyone’s favorite Archmage Jaina Proudmoore (sort of) to reveal the game’s next expansion, titled Battle for Azeroth.
As with any WoW expansion, Battle for Azeroth will arrive with a ton of new content. Here’s what players can expect:
- Two new continents
- Uncharted islands
- A level cap increase to 120
On top of that, the Battle for Azeroth expansion inflates the ongoing fight between the Horde and the Alliance and, as it turns out, player factions matter more than they ever have before.
