With Pokemon X and Y, Nintendo introduced mega-evolution. With a nifty wrist bracelet and a special piece of stone, your Pokemon could go one step further in the evolutionary chain for brief periods of time.
While the additional power that Pokemon gain from mega-evolution is the draw for competitive battling, many of us less-than-competitive fans simply enjoy the new looks. The announcement of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire gave us hope for new megas to be announced, and Nintendo hasn’t let us down.
Nintendo recently shared this video on The Official Pokemon Channel, announcing Mega Salamence, Mega Lopunny and Mega Altaria.
In the wee hours of last night, Serebii announced that an Official Korean site had accidentally revealed Mega Slowbro and Mega Audino.

The Korean Pokémon website accidentally uploaded details of the new megas which Serebii then translated. While the pages on the official Korean site have now been removed, we are still left with the leaked images.
I was personally hoping Mega Slowbro might look a bit more liks this:
Still, the leaked picture of Mega Slowbro is pretty adorable.
He just looks mega-confused about why the Shellder on the end of his tail has suddenly engulfed his entire body.
Mega Audino on the other hand, looks like the fairy-godmother I always dreamed of. I don’t typically carry around healing Pokemon (I’ve already mentioned I don’t play competitively, right?) but I may have to give Audino a second-chance when Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby come out.
So, what do you all think of the new Megas? Which ones are you most excited about?
