Trying to get in Honkai Star Rail but keep getting stuck on the loading screen? You’re not alone, as the frustrating bug is keeping many fans from playing the game regardless of console. There aren’t any official solutions yet, but here’s all we know about getting stuck on the loading screen and potential fixes.
What is the Stuck on Loading Screen Bug?
The stuck on loading screen bug is not an official error in that it doesn’t have an error code pop up when it happens. Instead, the loading screen seems to load for eternity or ends up crashing the game. No official word or notice has been put out by HoYoverse concerning the issue, so the direct cause is still unknown. The bug does seem to point to overburdened servers as the cause.
Is There a Fix for Being Stuck on the Loading Screen?
Since no official posting about the bug has been made, no official fix has been announced, either. While not being able to load the game is frustrating, there being no solid workaround is equally frustrating. Since that’s the current situation, there are a couple of things you can do to remedy the issue.
- Check the server status: Head to the official Honkai: Star Rail Twitter account for updates on their servers. They may have come down for maintenance while you were attempting to load a new area.
- Restart the launcher: Restarting the game and launcher can sometimes get you in the game faster than waiting on a long load time.
- Reinstall the game: Reinstalling the game may repair any files that somehow got corrupted or damaged.
- Contact HoYoverse: If all else fails, send in a support ticket. This’ll only work if the game is still functioning, as you need to be in-game to access the cogwheel to send in the ticket.
