Quickly! Assemble a group of Miqo’te with attitude! Annual seasonal events are nothing new in MMO games, but the latest seasonal event for Final Fantasy XIV has come, Moonfire Faire. Traditionally a hybrid celebration of Japanese summer culture and festivals, Moonfire Faire typically means fireworks, yukatas, and shamisen tunes. This year, however, things look to be a bit different.
The event is bringing a slew of exciting new things for players to enjoy, including Power Ranger themed poses. By participating in FATEs found around the Costa del Sol area players can earn Faire Vouchers which will allow them to purchase various goods from event merchants. Rewards include a selection of emotes, vanity equipment, housing items, and more.
If you are new to the game or missed out on previous Moonfire Faire events, don’t fret. Final Fantasy XIV now offers many optional summer themed vanity items in its Mog Station service. These new optional items, which were at one time available in game from previous Moonfire Faire events, will remain available for purchase year round.
Moonfire Faire will be available from August 5th at 1:00 AM (PDT) until August 26th at 7:59 PM (PDT). Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward are both available now for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Mac.
