According to insider information given to gaming website Gematsu, Final Fantasy XV has a release date of September 30 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This has been confirmed by several seemingly reliable sources ahead of an official event scheduled by Square Enix at the end of the month for the long-awaited game.
This news comes just before the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event due to take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 30th. Hosted by Greg Miller and Tim Getty, you’ll be able to watch a livestream of the show through several channels, including YouTube and Twitch.
Originally announced as Final Fantasy XIII Versus way back in 2006, the project was re-launched as Final Fantasy XV a few years ago. It’s been a long wait for fans of the franchise, who will no doubt be eager for confirmation of the game’s release — and of course, to finally get their hands on the finished version.
