The Hypostatic gear is the newest tier of combat equipment added to Final Fantasy XIV with patch 6.3. Any player at endgame is going to want to start working towards their Hypostatic set, but getting it is a time intensive process.
Let’s go over how to start your journey towards a full Hypostatic set in FFXIV.
How to Get Hypostatic Gear in Final Fantasy XIV
Hypostatic Gear is directly tied to the new Alliance Raid added in Patch 6.3, Euphrosyne. At the moment it’s entirely exclusive to the raid, and if you’ve acquired any raid-specific gear in the past you know exactly what that entails. If you need help getting started, we have a guide on how to unlocking Euphrosyne.
Because Euphrosyne is a brand new piece of content you can only roll and acquire one piece of gear each week, and that’s across all jobs. This means if you play the raid and get a piece of gear you won’t be able to get any more until the weekly reset on Tuesday at 12 am PT. If you’re looking to get a full set of Hypostatic Gear you’ll likely want to play the Alliance Raid as the same job, or at least same type of job every time, in order to boost your chances.
Like all Alliance Raids, sometime in the future Square Enix will remove the limits on the amount of gear you can obtain, but that likely won’t be until the next Alliance Raid releases a couple of patches down the line.
With all that in mind, it’s simply a matter of putting in the time to get all the Hypostatic Gear you want. For even more tips on FFXIV you can check out our guides hub which includes how to get other pieces of equipment, like the Monarchy Set.
