The above trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut is nice and all, but it just feels so cheesy. The narrator sounds like he was ripped out of a 90’s-era video game commercial, and it really isn’t working in the trailer’s favor.
The new Director’s Cut for Deus Ex: HR for the Wii U was recently announced, packing several tweaks in the game’s package. The Wii U GamePad will be used for several tasks, including using various neural enhancements and interacting with certain parts of the game’s environments.
The original version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution included boss fights that were outsourced for development, which made them play much differently from the vision the developers wanted for the title. The Director’s Cut will be fixing these fights so they are not so straightforward, giving players the ability to choose how they want to take bosses down.
The improvements over the original version of the game are significant. Along with the above, this new release will be seeing improved AI and an additional energy cell for more augmentation combinations.
Eidos Montreal is toting Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut as the ultimate version of the game. Will owners of other editions get a taste of these improvements? Only time will tell, but for now look forward to the Wii U release.
