The franchise is growing with the release of Far Future, a content update for PvZ 2–it’s not surprising that EA is making the series one of its most important.

The Xbox One version will include two exclusive modes; Crazy Dave’s RV and Dr. Zomboss– command the battlefield using SmartGlass and Kinect.

From the success of Plants vs. Zombies 2, which received over 16 million downloads in its first week, it’s been confirmed that the game will follow on PC and the Sony consoles shortly after. PopCap producer Brian Lindley told Joystiq, “We’ll reveal more details about other platforms in the future.”

The game will feature 24-player multiplayer action in which you can choose your side, Plant or Zombie, and you can also play in 4-man co-op mode to take on new bosses and waves of Zombies online.

In a nod to other EA games where customization is huge, you can also personalize your favourite plants and zombies with hundreds of unique items.
