All Tools Locations in Lightyear Frontier

Where do you find all these tools?

When starting your playthrough, the tutorial in Lightyear Frontier tells you to pick up your mech’s tools, but there are no hints about their location on the map or the compass. Here’s where you’ll find all of your tools in Lightyear Frontier in just a few minutes.

Location of Every Mech Tool in Lightyear Frontier

There are five tools that you need to pick up for your Mech:

Despite the map not having any pointers to where these tools are and the compass not having them marked either, some of you may roam the realm of Lightyear Frontier aimlessly, but there is a subtle hint to where all of your tools are: Look for the yellow smoke signals in the sky. All of the tools are near the edges of the starting zone “The Meadows” and I’ll show you the maps and chests for all of them.

Where to Find Vacuum Harvester in Lightyear Frontier

The Vacuum Harvester will be needed to suck up water for various purposes, such as watering the plants and washing off the goo with one of the other tools and foraging Noxious Weeds. Just follow the yellow smoke signal to the northeast of your Mech’s starting location; you won’t miss it. All of the respective tools are stored in these yellow boxes. The Vacuum Harvester is the closest to your Mech’s starting location, just near the pond, so it’s probably best to pick it up first.

Where to Find Sprout Cannon in Lightyear Frontier

The Sprout Cannon is necessary to plant trees and flowers in Lightyear frontier. It’s located below the bottom half of the southern border of The Meadows. As always, the tool will be ready for you to pick up from the yellow box and bring it back to your Mech. I’d go for this tool next.

Where to Find Spike Saw in Lightyear Frontier

The Spike Saw is probably the most useful tool in the game, as it allows you to cut through trees and dig up stones and metals. This is also the first tool you’ll probably need to upgrade later, just a top tip from my time playing the game for you. It’s located on the western border of The Meadows and is pretty accessible from all directions. I’d go for this tool next.

Where to Find Irrigation Hose in Lightyear Frontier

The Irrigation Hose is the tool I mentioned earlier. It allows you to water your plants in the small plots, and trees you’ve planted, and wash away Noxious Slime (which you’ll certainly try after you pick up the hose). You will find it just at the entrance to Pine Heights, an area that’s just northwest of The Meadows. If you’re going from the position of the Spike Saw, you’ll easily spot an entrance to the area if you follow the yellow smoke signal.

Where to Find Seed Shooter in Lightyear Frontier

The Seed Shooter will allow you to plant the various seeds you find in the wild. It is located near the beach in the northernmost point of The Meadows, where I’ve placed my first base. It’s highly convenient, given that the land is flat and there are water sources nearby, so I recommend you grab this tool last.

That’s all the tool locations we have for you. At our game hub, you can also learn how to switch seeds and sprouts in Lightyear Frontier!
