How to Get Noxious Spore in Lightyear Frontier

It's not obnoxiously difficult to get.

Noxious Spore is a crafting material necessary for some very important Lightyear Frontier items and upgrades. Since it’s not easy to find, I’m glad to step in and help. I will show you how to get Noxious Pod, Noxious Spore, and Power Core in Lightyear Frontier.

How to Get Noxious Pod in Lightyear Frontier

You can make a Noxious Spore by converting a Noxious Pod into a Noxious Spore at the Grinder. Noxious Pod is an item that you can get during the mini-events that happen from time to time. If you build the Weather Station from the Build Menu, you will be able to see the weather forecast days in advance. This allows you to prepare accordingly. Weather Station can be found in the second building menu (star icon), and it’s one of the last buildings you’ll unlock, so be patient and wait for the notification that it’s available. You can play two separate mini-games to get Noxious Pod:

  • The first one is related to Noxious Seeds that fall from the sky. It involves catching them with your Vacuum before they land. Each time you catch one, a Noxious Pod spawns and can be picked up.
  • The second one involves Noxious Pods that come out of the ground. In this game, you are supposed to spray them with your hose to make them explode. Once they do, you can pick up a Noxious Pod. I advise you to play these two mini-games in the third person for ease of access. Also, make sure to fill up your water tank before going to sleep because these events start immediately in the morning.

How to Make a Power Core in Lightyear Frontier

When you gather eight Noxious Spores, you should head to your closest Assembler. In the Assembler menu, find the “Power Core” near the bottom of the craft list. Voila! Now you have your first Power Core! Stay tuned for weather events to get more Noxious Pods and Spores. Power Cores will be very necessary in the late game, so you’ll perhaps thank me later.
